REUSE - Everyone - Group Resources

This guide provides instructions on using the Resources tab in the Community Groups section, including navigation, viewing options, and file management.

Accessing the Resources Tab

  1. Navigate to the Community section.

  2. Select Groups.

  3. Access the Resources tab.

Viewing Options

The Resources tab provides three viewing options:

  • List View: Displays resources in a list format.

  • Grid View: Displays resources in a grid format.

  • Tree View: Displays resources in a hierarchical tree structure.

Switching Views

  1. Open the Resources tab.

  2. Select your preferred view option: List, Grid, or Tree.

Using the Tree View

The Tree View option allows you to navigate resources in a hierarchical structure.

Tree View Functionalities

  1. Expand/Collapse Nodes: Select the arrow next to a folder to expand or collapse its contents.

  2. Navigate: Browse through the resource structure by expanding folders and subfolders.

  3. File Order: Files are listed before folders and sorted alphabetically.

Managing Resources

The Resources tab includes functionalities for uploading and organizing files and folders.

You can only manage resources you have uploaded; Site Admin and Group Admins can manage all resources.

Uploading Resources

  1. Access the Resources tab.

  2. Select the Upload button.

  3. Choose to create a new folder or select an existing one:

    • Create Folder

      • Select the Create Folder button.

      • Enter the new folder name in the text box (placeholder: “Enter subfolders and folder/subfolder”).

    • Select a Folder

      • Use the dropdown labeled Select a Folder.

      • Choose the desired folder from the alphabetical list of existing folders, including subfolders.

    • Creating a subfolder

      • If creating a subfolder, select the Create Folder button to prepopulate the text box with the selected folder followed by a /. Enter the new subfolder name.

  4. Upload the resource

    • The resource will be added to the chosen folder or newly created folder/subfolder based on the folder selection.
