ACEP Meetings to download the app on Play Store and Google Play

Here are the things we would like when trying to resolve an issue on the App

  1. Verify the user is connected to Wifi

  2. Record the users Model Name & Software Version

  3. Have the user take a Screen Recording or Screenshot

  4. Write a brief synopsis of what the user is trying to do and ultimately what the issue is.

  5. Verify the issue on the app against the web version https://acep22.acep.org/live

What we need if there is an issue?

Software Version & Model name

To find the software version installed on your device on IOS

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Scroll down and Tap General

  3. Tap About

  4. Record Software Version ie 15.6

Record Model Name ie IPhone X

*Screen Recordings are usually better than screenshots.

IOS Screen Recording:

Swipe upper right of your device to open your control center.

Tap Icon Below

If you can’t find this icon on the control center you will need to add it via the device settings

  1. Go to Settings on Device Home  >

  2. Scroll down and tap Control Center

3. Scroll down to More Controls and tap the green plus button on Screen Recording.

4. Go back to device Home

5. Swipe upper right of your device to open your control center. (recording icon should now be available)

Depending on your phone:

  • Press the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time.

  • If that doesn’t work, press and hold the Power button for a few seconds. Then tap Screenshot.

If device is frozen sometime normal turning off device and turning it back on won’t work

Force Restarting Device

IOS

  1. Hold down the Home button (the one on the front of the iPhone or iPad) and the power button at the same time.

  2. Keep both buttons held until the Apple logo appears.

  3. Let go of the buttons and wait while your device completes its start sequence.

Android

  1. Press and hold the Power button for 15-30 seconds. Or press and hold the Power key and Volume Down key simultaneously for 7-10 seconds.

  2. Some devices require Power and Volume Up buttons for at least 15 seconds. 


If users can’t see the install button on the Google play store (can also write steps)

Apple: IOS 10 or below will not be able to access the app. They will need to upgrade their Operating system to 11 or later.
