Notes for reviewers | I originally mentioned these breakouts to be a part of what tech support goes over with speakers/moderators in the greenrooms. There is also a bug with the breakouts using the mod function with 1.15, so that’s why I put 1.15 as the version, but this bug may be fixed with 1.16! It is logged in Jira; no progress yet. |
Moderators can send attendees to breakout rooms during a session. This guide helps you manage rooms.
Send attendees to breakout rooms
Click on More in the session controls bar.
Click Moderate.
Enter a Breakout Duration (minutes). This is how long the breakouts will last.
Enter a Room Capacity. Once a room is full, more breakout rooms are automatically created.
Select either Prioritize by Tags or Assign Randomly.
What is Prioritize by Tags?
When an attendee has selected tags on their profile, they are able to be assigned to specific breakout rooms that align with their chosen tags.
View breakout rooms
Click View Breakouts.
This will show you how many rooms there are and how many attendees are in each room.
Select a room to enter it.
To return to the main session, click View Breakouts again.
Select Return to Your Session.
What to do if multiple rooms only have one person
Navigate to one of the breakout rooms with only one person.
Copy the URL for that room.
Paste the URL into chat in another room with only one person.
Tell the person to click the link to join a room with more people.
Retrieve attendees from breakout rooms
From the main session, click Retrieve.
Click Confirm.
All attendees are brought back to the main session.
