Earning points

Earn points by taking these actions around the site. You’ll know when you’ve earned points because an animation plays in the top-right corner of the screen.

You can only perform each action once per piece of content. For example, when you send a chat message in a session, you gain points. But when you send a second chat message in the same session, you don’t earn anything. This means you should interact with as many pieces of content as possible for the maximum number of points.

Points multipliers

Normally, the same action is worth the same number of points no matter where it is on the site. But with points multiplier tags, you can make actions on some content worth more points. Add a points multiplier to any content page that you want to encourage people to interact with.

The tags look like this: 2x, 5x, 10xSee all default points multiplier tags.

For example, if you add a 2x x2 tag to higher-tier exhibitors, the Favorite action actions on those pages is are worth twice as many points as the Favorite action actions on other exhibitor pages. If you add a 4x x4 tag, the action is actions are worth four times as many points.

Point values are designated by your team. Your JUNO Success Manager will provide a template where you can assign how many points each action is worth and which pieces of content have multiplier tags.

Advertising gamification

One reason people enjoy gamification is the opportunity to earn prizes! If it suits your conference, organize prizes to be sent to the winners of your leaderboard.

We recommend considering rules you’d apply to a contest:

  • How many prizes can you give away?

  • Would you like to reset the leaderboard at any point during your conference? If so, when would you like it reset?

  • Who is eligible to earn prizes?

These rules should be listed out on your site for attendees to find. You can include a Game/Contest section on your FAQ page, or if the contest is detailed you can dedicate a page on the site for the game. You can list this page in the navigation or link to it from a billboard or banner on the site.

A visual of the prize(s) can be put in a featured rotator or a billboard to give even more incentive to attendees to participate. You can also remind attendees to engage with content through push notifications at any point during the event.

If you do decide to reset the leaderboard during the event, choose a certain time each day and let your Client Success Manager know that time. You will need to take note of the top scorers to be able to look up contact information. It’s best to note the top 5-10 people listed on the leaderboard just in case someone has won before or is not eligible to win.

Once you have the list of names, you can look up email addresses in the registration information to contact the winners and organize the prize delivery.

Point values can be designated by your team. In order to set your gamification structure, use the Gamification Template your Client Success Manager puts on Basecamp.
