When resizing make sure there are no black space left around your slides.

Open PowerPoint
Open the session
Restore down both chrome and PowerPoint so they display on the same window
Put the PowerPoint in presentation mode
On the apple top bar click “Window”
Select “Tile Window to Left of Screen” or “Tile Window to Right of Screen”
Select the platform (Chrome) from the options displayed
