Set up a badge
Set up a badge with these items.
The Lé Admin page is called Goals in the sidebar.
Parent | Select none for a basic badge. Or if the badge is one of multiple levels, select the badge that comes before it. For example, this is a series of 3 badges which users have to complete in this order. A → B → C Here’s how to set them up:

Name | Add a name that appears on the site. (Recommend approximately 35 characters max.) |
Type | Ignore this field. |
URL | (Optional) Add a URL to direct users to another site page when they click the Earn button. This guides users to the content where they can do the action. |
Image | Add an image to represent the badge wherever it appears on the site. It crops to a circle. Small image file sizes help your site load faster. Follow these specifications: Image file size: Below 200 KB unless otherwise specified. Total dimensions: 500 × 500 pixels  |
Start Date | The date the badge appears on the user’s Badges page and is available to earn. |
End Date | The date the badge is removed from the user’s Badges page and is no longer available to earn. We recommend setting this very far in the future so that badges never expire and users can always refer back to those they earned in the past. |
Short | Leave this blank. It does nothing. |
Description | Describe the action users should take to earn the badge. Users see this description in a pop-up when they click the badge on their Badges page. (Recommend approximately 150 characters max. Beyond that, users can scroll to see more text.) |
Completed | Add a congratulatory message that users see in a pop-up when they complete the badge. We recommend including a reminder of the description in this message so that users remember what the goal was. (Recommend approximately 150 characters max. Beyond that, users can scroll to see more text.) |
Active | Make the badge active so that it will function. Note that users can’t see it until the Start Date. |
Completed (value) | This column shows the number of people who have completed the badge. You don’t need to do anything with it for setup. |
The following fields specify what the user must do to earn the badge.
Earn By Completing | Select one action that the user must do to earn progress towards the badge. Do not select multiple actions. |

X Times | Specify how many times they must do the action to complete the badge. |
In These Buckets | Narrow down the earnable location to only content in specific content buckets (like sessions or the forum). Leave it blank to let users earn anywhere possible.

With These Tags | Narrow down the earnable location to only content with specific tags. Leave it blank to let users earn anywhere possible. For the Raise Hand action, you must specify the Mainstage or Panel tag. |
