When you send no-reply emails to users, they can be filtered as spam. Changing the “From” name helps you get around this issue. Changing the “From” address and DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is another option that requires additional setup.

When to change the from name

Our recommended way of getting around spam filters is to change the from name in the email template to your company’s name. The underlying email is still no-reply, but the from name will display as company name. In this example, the from name is shown in bold:

From: JUNO <noreply@nexisit.net>

When to change the from address and DKIM

Another spam filter workaround is setting up the DKIM so that you can use a custom from address. We don’t recommend this method because it gives users the ability to reply to the email. (It’s no longer a no-reply email.)

One exception is if users have particularly strong spam filters. This is most common with organizations like governments or hospitals. In that case, changing the DKIM could be helpful.

If you need to change your from address and DKIM, give the source email address to your JUNO team at least 3 weeks prior to the email send date. It must be an email address that you would be comfortable having an email reply sent to. In this example, the from address is shown in bold:

From: JUNO <someone@junolive.co>

Prepare ahead: DKIM setup must be done at least 3 weeks prior to the email send date. This gives the change time to connect and gives us time to test it.
