Why

As a REALTOR Association staff member, I want to be able to provide a RPAC donation link in public areas, for more of my members to come across. This includes mass emails, social media, and my public website. So that we can continue to reach our association's RPAC goals. However, ONLY logged in members may be able to donate.

There are strict laws in place that say RPAC contributions may only be solicited from the so-called “solicitable class,” which essentially consists of members and their families, anything which could be considered a “solicitation” for an RPAC contribution will need member-access only password protection. How and FAQ

If a customer needs to have donations behind a login page that validates membership, they should enable this feature. Only active members will be able to login and donate to these fundraisers.

QUESTION: What will the customer experience?

QUESTIONS: Will the association staff notice any differences for these types of fundraisers?

Staff will be able to add a donation from the backoffice on behalf of a member in the typical ways

• By using the donation link in the fundraiser

QUESTIONS: Will “Enable Business Donation Option” and “Require Donor Login and Active Membership” work at the same time.

If a member is making a donation, no. The donation will be associated to individual members. If a staff member is filling out the form for a members, they are able to fill out the form and complete a business donation.
