Glossary
Bill/Run Billing: Two-part action of telling members they owe money and collecting it from them. Both parts can happen simultaneously. Consideration. What makes the most sense in reference to the date of someone's next charge? Currently Next Bill Date. (Andrew: I think charge sounds more aggressive than we necessarily intend. Invoice sounds a bit old fashioned so I like Bill but am open to other terms!) Once picked, change the lavender terms below if needed.
Frequency: Interval between charging/billing/invoicing members for their memberships
Fees/Dues: The money that members pay for their memberships. (Andrew: I like fees more than dues because it lines up with fee items well)

Types of Memberships
GrowthZone works best with the three types of memberships listed below. Each membership type can be customized, but you will be able to take advantage of automation and more advanced features if your memberships generally align with these types.
Subscriptions
Charge members for access to benefits on a recurring basis. These memberships are as simple as possible to make it easy for you and your members. This works just like your favorite streaming video or music service.
Examples: Streaming music service, magazine
Join Date
Members are charged based on the date they joined your association. This is similar to car insurance where you may pay every month or quarter based on the day you bought your car.
Examples: Car insurance, extended warranty for an appliance
Fixed Renewal
Members are charged based on a date set by the association that typically aligns to the association's fiscal year. When a member joins the association they'll be charged a prorated set of dues to cover their membership to the set date. After that, they'll be on the same schedule as all other members.
