Admins and instructors can add certificates to courses using the Education Credit (EC) section of Das admin. As long as a certificate is attached to an EC, depending on how many pieces of content are attached to that EC, learners can view and download the Certificate after completing the course or when they claim the EC.
To attach a Certificate to an Education Credit you must first have built a certificate template to attach. Learn more about creating Certificate Templates.
Attaching a certificate to an Education Credit
Access the Education Credit Section in Das Admin
Log in to the Das admin dashboard and navigate to the Education Credit (EC) section.
Locate the Education Credit
Once you are in the Education Credit section, you can either create a new education credit or search for the existing one you want to attach a certificate to. Learn more about Creating Education Credits.
Enable Certificate Reward
On the Education Credit information page, find the Rules section. Check the box labeled Reward Certificate Upon Completion.
Select a Certificate
After checking the box, a dropdown labeled Certificate will appear. Select the dropdown and choose the certificate template you want to attach to the education credit.
Save Changes
Ensure that you save your changes to confirm the attachment of the certificate to the education credit.
Attaching an Education Credit from the Course Editor
Navigate to Course Information
If you are an admin or instructor who wants to attach an education credit from the Course Editor, open the course editor and access the Course Information page of the course you want to attach the Education Credit to.
Find the Education Credit Section
Look for the section dedicated to Education Credits on the Course Information page.
Select an Education Credit
In the Education Credit section, locate the dropdown labeled Education credit(s). From this dropdown, you can choose the education credit that you want to attach to the course.
Admin vs. Instructor Functionality: It's important to note that admins have the capability to create education credits directly from the Course Information page in Das admin. Instructors, however, do not have this same functionality from the Course Editor.
