Clients

Reader goal

Understand what content looks like, what all the parts of it are. New clients are interested in this; they don’t understand what a “session” really is made up of, or the demo sites they’ve seen aren’t necessarily configured with everything. This is place to find a generic outline of how it all fits together.

Quickly find image sizes, character limits, and file types.

CSMs want to be able to find an example quickly-- when someone asks “what’s an abstract,” they don’t have to go hunting for an example in the site structure workbook, or on a demo site, where it may or may not be there.

CSMs want to be able to send clients a page based on content type – because not everyone uses every content type, especially with learning/community -only sites.

Notes for reviewers

Each course and lesson needs these images and text. Some other items are optional, like videos, downloadable files, and links.

Where content is located

Before users open a course, they might see it featured in a module. It displays the course’s image, name and abstract. Most modules use the smaller list image. Featured rotators use the larger banner image.

Then users enter the course page. It displays the image and description.

Once you start the course, it displays the list of lessons. Think of the course as the “container” for lessons inside of it.
