How the rotator works

All images and videos you add to this tab are combined into one rotating slide show. It scrolls through them one at a time, in order. The rotator is the first thing visitors see when they enter your suite.

Add slides to the rotator

  1. In the Rotators tab, click Add Rotator.

  2. In the pop-up window, give the slide a Title (700 characters max). This text is optional and shows up below each slide. Note that longer text covers more of the image.

  3. Select the Type of content from the dropdown menu.

  4. Add the image or video (see detailed instructions below).

  5. To publish content, select “Save Changes” Click Save Changes at the top Right bottom of the Exhibitor Editor page.

  6. Now the content is saved to your Current Rotator list, but not to the main page. REMEMBER to click the purple “Save Changes” at the top right of the editor to save all changes to the Exhibitor page. If not, all your work will be lost and you will need to re-upload content. 

  7. Once Saved, Click “View Page” to see the live Exhibitor Page that all attendees can see. 

    If your rotator content is not appearing here, there was an issue with your content upload. 

    Select the editor button at the bottom left of the exhibitor page to go back to the Exhibitor Editor section and re-upload your content. Do not forget to hit the save Changes button, or your content will not be saved, or uploaded to your live site.

Add content to a rotator

Give your rotator a title and subtitle. Text will appear directly below the rotator, and will change as the content rotates through. 

You can add several content types:

Image:

  1. Drop down option box, select image. 

  2. Gray Box will appear below { } 

  3. Click anywhere in the gray box to open file browser. 

  4. Select image you would like to include. 

  5. Click OPEN. 

  6. Redirect URL below { } is where you can add a URL to the image, so the attendee can click through to another website with your content. 

  7. Choose “Save Changes” to add this content to your rotator. 

Youtube: 

  1. Include Video ID or URL of content you would like to include 

  2. Click the Plus button on the left side of the editor section. 

  3. Video ID is the character sequence after the = in the URL{} - o7zqouVuFZY 

  4. URL is the video’s URL. Ex: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7zqouVuFZY  

  5. Choose “Save Changes” to add this content to your rotator. 

Vimeo:

  1. Video ID is the number sequence after the / in the URL - 457051968 

  2. Video URL is: https://vimeo.com/channels/staffpicks/457051968  

  3. Choose “Save Changes” to add this content to your rotator. 

Wistia:

  1. Video ID is the character sequence after the / in the URL - talking-too-loud 

  2. Video URL is: https://wistia.com/series/talking-too-loud  

  3. Choose “Save Changes” to add this content to your rotator.

View your rotators

Content published to your website will appear in the Current Rotators section. You will see a thumbnail of the images/ videos you have included. If you do not see a thumbnail, you have not successfully uploaded the content to your rotator. 

You can make changes to your rotators in a few ways:

  • Choose the “Add Rotator” button to select your content again. 

  • On the Left side of the thumbnail you will see three lines. Click and hold this icon to reorder your content for your rotator. 

  • On the right side of the thumbnail you will see a gear icon. Click this button to make any edits to this content.

  2. Repeat steps 1-5 to add more slides.

  3. When you’re done adding all slides, click Save Changes at the top of the page.

  4. Select View Page to check that all content looks correct.

Image

  • Click the gray box to select an image from your computer. See file size specifications.

  • If you want visitors to go to another website when they click the image, add the link in the Redirect URL field. 

Youtube, Brightcove, or Vimeo video

Paste the Video URL.

Wistia video

Paste the Video ID.

Info

To find the Video ID, look at the full URL and copy only the characters that appear after mediaid=. They’re at at the end of the URL.

For example:
If the URL is:
https://wistia.com/series/talking-too-loud?wchannelid=9c5u5vvz1d&wmediaid=5r9odssorp
Then the Video ID is:
5r9odssorp

Hosted MP4 video

Paste the Video URL.

Include Page

Edit and delete rotator slides

Reorder slides by clicking and dragging the 3 lines icon on the left.

Edit a slide by clicking the Gear icon on the right. You can change the content type, title, reupload, or delete the slide.

Remember to click Save Changes at the top of the page.
