  1. From someone’s personal profile, click Send a message.

  2. Chat invitation sent appears at the bottom of your screen as a temporary notification. Then your Conversations window opens automatically.

  3. Type a message and click the Send icon.

  4. The other person only sees your message once they accept your request.

Accept a message request

When someone else sends you a message:

  1. You get a pop-up notification in the top left corner of the site.

  2. Go to your Conversations window by clicking the Speech bubble icon in the navigation bar.

  3. Accept or Decline their request. If they already sent a message, it appears when you accept.

  4. Continue the conversation by typing a message and clicking the Send icon.

  1. From someone’s personal profile, click Schedule a meeting.

  2. Select a date and time that’s available for both of you.

  3. Name the meeting and Personalize it with a message to the invitee.

  4. Click Send.

  5. The invitee gets a notification by email and directly on the site. Click the Bell icon in the site navigation bar to see notifications.

  6. To go to the meeting information page, click the meeting notification on the site. Or in the email, click View meeting.

  7. Click Attend at the top of the page to accept the request They need to click Attend to accept the invite and add the meeting to your their schedule.

  8. When it’s time for the meeting, go to your Schedule in the navigation bar. Click the meeting to enter a private video call on the site.

  9. Click the Video and Audio icons at the bottom of the screen to turn on your camera and microphone. You can also use Chat on the right side of the screen to send messages.

  1. Go to your Schedule in the navigation bar. Click the meeting to go to the meeting information page.

  2. Click Change or cancel.

  3. Select a date and time that’s available for both of you.

  4. Click Update meeting.

  5. The other person gets a notification by email and directly on the site.

Cancel a meeting

Anyone can deselects the attending meeting button if they can’t attend. If there’s only two people, the meeting is canceled.

The meeting organizer can also cancel meetings using the change/cancel button:

cancel by taking a meeting off their schedule:

  1. Go to your Schedule in the navigation bar.

  2. Deselect the Attending button on the meeting to take it off your schedule.

  3. If the meeting only includes two people, this cancels the meeting for everyone. The other person gets an email notification that it’s canceled.

Or the meeting organizer can cancel it:

  1. Go to your Schedule in the navigation bar. Click the meeting to go to the meeting information page.

  2. Click Cancel meeting. Confirm by clicking Cancel meeting again.

  3. The other person gets a notification by email.
